UNICEF mobile teams helping families with children continue their work in communities close to the frontline in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
In addition to a doctor and a psychologist, the team includes a teacher who works with preschool and primary school children.
Due to the security situation, schools and kindergartens in these communities are closed, but education continues online. Of course, online learning makes it harder for children to learn without direct communication with the teacher. That's why we teach them reading, writing and maths, as well as natural sciences, during our offsite events. These classes help to improve learning performance and bridge educational gaps.
In addition, these classes help children to socialise, which is an important factor given that during the war, they spend almost all their time at home and do not see their peers.
