‘It hit near my house. The roof is gone, the garage too. My car is burnt down...’ says Yevheniia, a resident of Prohres village, through tears.
The Donetsk region is becoming increasingly subject to shelling. The number of destructions is growing, and with it the need for emergency house repairs.
Throughout April, the team of CF ‘Angels of Salvation’, thanks to its partner, the United Nations Refugee Agency, made almost daily visits to the communities of the region to provide critical assistance in the form of construction materials.
Over the past month, we have collectively provided more than 1,000 emergency repair kits, as well as an additional 5,000 sheets of OSB, 1,400 sheets of tarpaulin and 1,900 sheets of plastic film. In total, more than 4,500 people received help.
Workshops on Wheels construction teams were also on site to help families install the material.
We are grateful to UNHCR for their joint work!
